When it comes to careers, industries of interest among students are always changing. Not only do new jobs (that previously never existed) pop up every day, but also outside factors, such as the economy or trends, make for an ever-evolving career landscape.
To ensure our Career Services team is keeping up, our office created the Career Interest Inventory survey. This survey is designed to gauge the career interests of Richmond students.
Below are the Top Industries from the 2015 Career Interest Inventory:
- Financial Services/Banking
- International Affairs/Development
- Government/Public Services
- Nonprofit/Social Services
Once we know the top industries of interest, our office starts to build programs and resources for those industries. To see a sample of the industry expertise we provide, check out our website industry pages. When you click on the industry, you’ll find our step-by-step guides, upcoming events, assigned advisors, and a way for students and alumni to sign-up for our weekly emails that shares industry-specific job and internship opportunities, as well as upcoming programs and events.
Don’t fit into an industry? No problem. At the University of Richmond, all of our career advisors are generalists. No matter where your interests lie, our advisors are here to help you succeed.
